About the QT SAGES study

This study is an opportunity to participate in research that is done by queer and trans people for queer and trans people. We are seeking anyone who identifies with any part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ spectrum to tell us how you experience your gender and/or sexual orientation. This is an opportunity for queer and trans people’s voices to be heard in all of their beautiful complexity.

Our study is inclusive of Two-Spirit, transgender, non-binary, intersex, bisexual, pansexual, and asexual people. We are also inclusive of 2SLGBTQIA+ people of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds, as well as people with disabilities.

We are U.S. researchers, with a cultural understanding of the U.S., and while anyone is welcome to participate, our study was designed to be taken by folks in the U.S.

This study is meant to be a joyful exploration of how queer and trans people experience ourselves and our relationships. We know that much of the academic research that has been done about the queer and trans community has been done by people who are not part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and a lot of the focus has been on the negative aspects of queer and trans life. The aim of our study is to capture the varied experiences and identities of people within the 2SLGBTQIA+ community as accurately as possible.
